Children's Classes
Bahá’ís take the responsibility of educating children to be imperative. The Prophet Founder of the Bahá’í Faith, Bahá'u'lláh tells us to "Regard man as a mine rich in gems of inestimable value. Education can, alone, cause it to reveal its treasures, and enable mankind to benefit therefrom.”
Treating children as the most precious treasure, and as the promise and guarantee of the future is at the core of community life. Children's classes offer spiritual nourishment to prepare children for a world that can overwhelm their inner joy and innocence. The classes are open to all, teach spiritual attitudes and behavior based on Bahá'í principles, and take place under the careful monitoring of local institutions. Some of the spiritual qualities emphasized include truthfulness, kindness, patience, purity of heart, and generosity, to name a few.
